What is EAN-13 for Amazon?
Amazon requires most products to carry an EAN-13 (or UPC-A) barcode so its warehouses and scanners can identify every unit. For FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon), each unit needs a scannable product barcode on the label. Sellers generate EAN-13 labels for their product packaging or use the Amazon FNSKU label. This tool generates clean EAN-13 barcodes from your product numbers, ready for your FBA label sheet.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does Amazon need EAN or UPC?
Amazon accepts EAN-13, UPC-A and FNSKU barcodes depending on marketplace and category. For FBA in Europe you typically use EAN-13; in the US, UPC-A.
Where do I get a valid EAN number?
EAN-13 barcode numbers come from a GS1 prefix. For Amazon, many sellers buy EAN codes from GS1 or authorized resellers - the barcode image alone is not a valid product number.
Can I use one EAN for all my units?
Each unique product (SKU) needs its own EAN number. All units of the same SKU share that EAN on their labels.
Can I generate FBA label barcodes in bulk?
Yes, paste your product numbers (one per line) and generate a sheet of EAN-13 barcodes for your FBA labels.
