What is GS1-128 for Retailer Cartons?
When you ship cartons of a retail product, the case carries a GS1-128 barcode built from the product's GTIN (01), with optional batch (10) and expiry (17) fields. Retailers' DCs scan these case codes to receive stock automatically, so a correctly formatted GS1-128 on every carton keeps your product moving through their system.
